Ocean Literacy and Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (STREAM 1)
To truly realize ocean literacy with- and for- all, ongoing ocean literacy research must place justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity at its core.
With this in mind, there is a need for more ocean literacy research that draws on critical social science and governance theories which can explore the environmental justice dimensions of ocean literacy research, including power dynamics and various social, economic, and cultural factors.
